The New Mexico Cancer Institute Foundation exists as a link between the Cancer Institute of New Mexico, the state's newest and most advanced cancer care facility, and the Community. National Comprehensive Cancer Network ("NCCN") is a consortion of 19 well-known cancer centers in the US that publishes continuously monitored and updated treatment guidelines for more than 95% of cancers. Many of the publications are directed at patients. www.nccn.org

Oncolink, an online service of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, provides in depth information about specific types of cancer and treatment, along with help on coping and many references, including other recommended Web sites. www.oncolink.upenn.edu

The Mayo Clinic has an extensive website dealing with almost all health care issues. Access to Cancer information is through the drop-down Health Centers list on the left side of the home page. One can also get information about the specific value of adjuvant therapy treatments in breast cancer at an auxillary site. People Living With Cancer, the patient information Web site of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), provides oncologist-approved information on more than 50 types of cancer and their treatments, clinical trials, coping, and side effects. www.plwc.org
